Hey guys,
I hope you all have had an amazing weekend in this beautiful weather.

Today I am sharing with you, my top tips for planning a road trip!
It's the perfect time to go on a road trip and explore new places and try some amazing food! Whether you live in the UK or abroad you can always find a little getaway in your country!

-

1. Plan Your Route
There is nothing worse than getting in your car and sitting there deciding where to go. If you are wanting to go to a certain place then plan the best route by either the best scenery or the quickest route to get to your desired destination. No one wants to be bored in the car on a hot day, do they?

-

2. Check Your Car
There are many safety issues with driving a car in the summer which include:

- Replacing your battery can prevent you from accidents, especially in the hot summer weather. It will be cheaper in the long run!

- You should also check your air conditioning, no one wants to be stuck with no ventilation when it is summer!

- Check your tyre pressure, as they can expand when exposed to heat, and keeping them at the proper pressure this will ensure that no damage is caused to your car

Cheap tyres can be easily booked on Point S, a company which provides you with cheap and affordable tyres for those Summer Road Trips!

-

3. Bring Supplies
It's always a good idea to bring some snacks, drinks and some sort of entertainment (if you're not the one driving of course!) You never know if you will get caught up in traffic or in a place with no shops!

-

4. Make A Playlist
Every summer needs songs to make you remember the days of that year's summer! So why not make a playlist of all your favourite songs to play in the car whilst you are with your friends (or family) and just have a good time together!

-

If any of you are planning a Road Trip make sure to tag me in any pictures on Twitter or Instagram! They are all linked below this post!

The Manchester Terror Attack: #WeStandTogether

The Manchester Terror Attack: #WeStandTogether

I am sure you have all heard the sickening news that was told last Tuesday morning that a bomb had exploded in the foyer of Manchester Arena minutes after the all American Ariana Grande concert had finished.

We all remember our first concert, going to see our idols we loved ever so much and looked up upon and then going back to school or work the next day and telling all your friends about it and how much you enjoyed it.
For 22 people they didn't get to tell their friends at work or school how much they enjoyed taking their kids to the concert or seeing their idol Ariana Grande because they were victims of the Manchester Arena Terror Attack.

This hit home for me, it really did, because this is where you go to enjoy and fulfill your dreams of seeing and/or meeting your idol. It's a place where everyone from Manchester whatever age or race comes together to support their favorite musicians.

At first, when I heard the news I was in utter shock. Not only because it was my city, it was because a lot of people I knew including my friends were at the concert. I sat watching the news being unable to speak, and just watching the story unfold straight in front of my eyes.
I held a lot of my feelings in for a while because I felt selfish for feeling that way when so many people were hurting way worse than me, physically and emotionally.

It wasn't until the next day everything started to really kick in, friends and people I knew were off school and some of them we hadn't heard from. It was weird, very weird, everyone was kind of in their own bubble of thoughts and not a lot of speaking went on in lessons.

People I knew that were at the concert including one of my friends, were pretty shaken up by what they saw and heard that night.

Luckily no one from my school or that I knew died in the attack.

I felt very involved with the aftermath of the attack because of sharing things of my social media and using my platform to get the word out about some of the people that were still missing days after the attack.

I can only imagine the pain of those who have lost loved ones on this supposed to be a happy night. My thoughts are with each and every one of my readers and people who have been affected in this situation.

The strength that Manchester has as a community is very special and it won't break us apart it will make us stronger like it has done in the past because #WeStandTogether

Donations to the family's who have lost a loved one in this attack have reached over £2 Million and are continuing to grow. Click here to make a donation.

Here are some of the pictures I took whilst I was paying my respects yesterday evening:

As soon as you turned the corner into St Anne's Square you could smell all the flowers that had been left there in honour of the 22 people that died on the night of the attack. It was very quiet yet there was something calming and peaceful about it.

You may have noticed my keyring at the top, I bought this from HA Designs and all of the proceeds go to the family's that have been affected by the attack.

May you all be safe this weekend and if you are going to the 'One Love' concert have an amazing time ♡

As always,

My Summer Aspirations!

My Summer Aspirations!

Hello people,
I thought I would talk about some of the things I want to do this summer! Although the weather here in Chesire isn't really the weather I would like for this time of year!

1. Hold a summer party
I usually tend so do something like this every year, get my friends over, put some music on and then end up around the fire when it gets cold and dark!
Throwing a party like this brings everyone together I think, leaving out the stress of school and talking about what summer has in store for each other or what we have been up to!

2. Go on a road trip
Going to somewhere you've never been to before in the summer like a new town or city can really make you explore the places that you may not know too much about, and you get can some great Instagram pictures too!

3. Try some new makeup looks
Trying new makeup looks can really make it feel like summer, going for a bronzed, sunkissed look really makes you feel like you have come back from a 2 week holiday in Barbados!

4. Spend time with family
Spending time with family in the summer is really beneficial, you can talk about what everyone has gotten up too over the summer and what people's plans are!

I hope you guys enjoyed this summer inspired post, I'll speak to you guys soon!

A Day At Altrincham Market!

A Day At Altrincham Market!

Hey guys, Happy Easter!
I hope you have had a good day so far! I have been eating lots of chocolate and relaxing so far today:)

Yesterday I went out for the day in Hale with my family and decided to go to the food market. It is basically a big room filled with tables and chairs with all different food stalls on the perimeter of the room.

There are all sorts of food there like Pizza, Pies and other flavourful foods. There are also many drink stalls where you can get different beers/ales and wines for the Ladies!

The coffee stalls are brilliant too I had a white hot chocolate which tasted amazing!
For my lunch I opted to get a pizza from the Pizza stall which was one of the tastiest pizza I have ever tasted, they do the pizza's in the pizza oven, so it made it taste authentic!

I loved this market as it was quite small but you still had a variety of food and drink to choose from without being bombarded with options. Because it was so popular we chose to sit outside which wasn't the smartest choice when it got cold later on! But never the less it was a really good day out!

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post, hopefully, you might get the chance to go to this market one day and try the food there!

Beauty Favourites March 2017!

Beauty Favourites March 2017!

Hello guys,
long time no see right!?

As a lot of you know I haven't been blogging or on any of my social media lately, mainly because of the stress of school and preparation for my exams if you have gone through this or are going through this then you know how much pressure there is to do well!

Hopefully, you understand and what has been going on and understand where I'm coming from.

Now that that is out of the way, let's get on with my Beauty Favourites for this month!

First up we have my makeup favourites!
1. Naked Skin Foundation - Urban Decay - £28.50 - One of the best foundations I have ever tried, it is a pretty big bottle for the price.
I read so many amazing reviews before buying this and I have to agree with everyone! You can get so many looks out of this foundation, you can build this up to be full coverage or just keep it very simple and natural!
You will definitely need to go and try this foundation if you have never bought it before, as I thought I was the lightest shade (I'm not!)
The shades have different undertones so you need to know what colour your skin is plus your undertone. The girls on the counter will help you out will all of it!

2. Naked Skin Concealer - Urban Decay - £19 - By far the best full coverage concealer for those under eye bags and those pesky spots!

3. Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder - Urban Decay - £24 - (In the shade Luminous) Compared to other brands and their prices I think that Urban Decay has it right. For a good size highlight that is beautifully pigmented and looks flawless on any skin tone, to me £24 is cheap than other brands. The amount of shimmer in this highlighter is blinding. You can totally go for a natural looking glow or a showstopping, blinding look if you love a good glow!

4. Pore Filler - NYX - £11 - This is the exact same thing as the Benefit porefessional primer! A perfect dupe! I love this primer as it gives a smooth base to work on and fills in all the pores on your face! and it doesn't break the bank!

5. Dandelion Blush - £24.50 - I really do love this blush. It is my favourite product from Benefit. It gives you a subtle flush colour on your cheeks! Perfect if you don't want a heavy blush look.

Second, Skincare!
1. Himalayan Charcoal Face Mask - £16 - This mask really pulls all the impurities and leaves your skin glowing and looking fresh!

2. Hyaluronic Acid Thermal Exfoliating Polish - £9.50 - I have been loving this exfoliator. It has a self-heating thermal in it and heats up on your face when you rub it into your face. This really does the job and I highly recommend it!

4. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - £14 - This a must have in my skincare routine! This little bottle of magic is a life saver. This drying lotion literally does what it says! You put it on overnight and wash it off in the morning. It suffocates your spots and kills them. I find for small-ish spots take 1 night and bigger spots can take 2 - 3 nights to get rid of!

Thirdly, Random Beauty!
1. L'oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner - I am trying this set and I am loving it so far, I generally have quite oily roots and dry ends so I thought I would give this a try and I have to say it is working quite well!

2. Daisy Eau So Fresh - This has been my favourite perfume for a while now and it goes perfectly with the spring weather that will be hopefully coming soon!

3. Almond Coconut Milk Souffle Body Creme - £45 - I am quite picky when it comes to body creams but this one is a perfect balance. It is very moisturizing yet doesn;t cake your skin and doesn't make you feel like you have a ton load of sunscreen on!

Well, that is it for my Beauty Favourites this March, hopefully, you have seen something you want to try! Also, guys thank you so much for 15,000 views! it's crazy to think it was only a year ago that I started 'Izzie's Life'! Thank you so much for all your support and patience throughout these past few weeks!

I will speak to you all soon!

All About Prom! - 'Runway On The Runway'

All About Prom! - 'Runway On The Runway'

Read post
Hey guys,
I am so sorry I have been gone for a while. I have been so busy with school work, and runway! It's been crazy!!

Today I am talking all about prom!

Every girl dreams of the day they go to prom. The dress, the way you have your hair to who you go with all contribute to the feel of prom. Prom is a special thing for girls in many different ways, it could be your last year with the people that you have grown up with for the past 5 years, that could be a relief or some sorrow, or it could be a chance to express yourself through your hair, makeup, and dress.
But what if all your plans came to a standstill due to an illness. Hundreds of girls with cancer miss their prom due to them either being too ill or being in a hospital. How would you feel if you couldn't go to your prom because of your illness?

I asked some girls questions about prom and if an illness were to affect them and their prom:

Neve, 15
Why is prom important to you?
“Prom is important for me because it marks the end of the school year, which is a good time”

What Influences your choice of prom dress?
“My prom dress is influenced by how it looks on me but also it cannot be too expensive”

What are you looking forward to at prom?
“I am looking forward to making memories with my friends because it is such a special event”

Who would you go with to prom? (Friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc)
“I would go to prom with my friends”

What would you feel like if you missed your prom through illness?
“I would be very upset if I missed my prom as I think it is a special event because it only happens once or twice when you are at school”

Olivia, 15
Why is prom important to you?
“I think prom is important as it gives you a chance to dress up in nice clothes, full makeup and feel like a princess”

What Influences your choice of prom dress?
“My main influences for prom dresses tends to be Instagram, but I love to use Pinterest as well, I already have a board made”

What are you looking forward to at prom?
“I think I'm most looking forward to the build up, getting a spray tan, getting my nails done, dress shopping, etc”

Who would you go with to prom? (Friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc)
“I’m definitely going to go with friends, I wouldn’t want to break up with someone later on and not be able to look at any pictures without feeling sad”

What would you feel like if you missed your prom through illness?
“I would be devastated, I would try to power through it as I wouldn’t want to miss my one and only prom”

Lucy, 14
Why is prom important to you?
“It’s important because it marks the end of the year and end of school with everyone together”

What Influences your choice of prom dress?
“I think individuality influences your prom dress, it’s your own choice, no one else’s”

What are you looking forward to at prom?
“I am looking forward to prom because it gives everyone chance to be together for the final time if they are going separate ways in the future.
For example, some may or may not be going to sixth form.
It is something you will always remember”

Who would you go with to prom? (Friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc)
“I would go with both friends and a boyfriend as you would have a better time with everyone you love around you”

What would you feel like if you missed your prom through illness?
“Personally, it’s not the end of the world if I missed prom”

Dannie, 16
Why is prom important to you?
“I feel like prom is important to me because it's almost like your final goodbye in a way, last chance to be with the people you've spent most of your childhood with! It's just one night to be with those people you've spent the last 4 years with, maybe more with some!”

What Influences your choice of prom dress?
“What influences the choice of prom dress for me is firstly obviously the theme, most proms nowadays have a theme, for my year it was Hollywood glamour, so all girls came in the most beautiful dress they could find, something you would see on a red carpet. I also think looking back on other year groups and seeing what people wore then, influenced me!”

What are you looking forward to at prom?
“I'm looking forward to just having fun with all my friends and teachers! Getting in the photo booth, the food, the music! The whole thing to be honest!”

Who would you go with to prom? (Friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc)
“I would go with my friends, you don't need no guy!!!”

What would you feel like if you missed your prom through illness?
“I wouldn’t be heartbroken, at the end of the day it's not the end of the world. Prom isn't the most important thing in the world :)”

For me, prom is about expressing yourself through your clothes, makeup etc. Prom is special in many different ways. Getting asked to prom by a special someone, or just the thrill of getting to party with your friends. If I were to miss due to an illness prom I would be sad but I would so something special to symbolize prom instead, something that my ability could handle.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post,
